We welcome all new visitors to the trail.

1. Leaving I-88 at Exit 13, turn towards the mountains rather than the city.
2. Proceed a short distance until you see this right hand turn saying Silas Lane and showing a list (below) of the City of Oneonta's municipal complex. Notice the bottom strip says Oneonta Greenway Trail and bears the OSG logo. Take this right hand turn onto Silas Lane.

3. Proceed along Silas Lane until you see the Oneonta Susquehanna Greenway parking lot sign . Access to the trail is at the rear of the parking lot. As well as a place to park, you will find a brightly colored map of the Susquehanna River, which eventually flows into the Chesapeake Bay.

Where is the Oneonta Greenway?
At the back of the parking lot is a trail sign bearing the OSG logo and asking visitors to go right or left on the trail. The trail parallels I-88 for some distance and then turns towards the river.

Members of the Greenway have recently developed the part of the trail which turns right. This provides a shorter trip to the river. Safety is a major consideration, and the Greenway volunteers have installed signs to warn hikers of the Silas Lane crossing. Other signs warn drivers of the pedestrian crossing.

Below is a map of the two mile loop called the Oneonta Susquehanna Greenway Park Trail.
